British transport workers will hold a new strike

Amazon has cancelled or closed 99 distribution facilities

Marc Wulfarat, president and founder of supply chain consulting company MWPVL International Inc., said in an email recently that Amazon has cancelled, closed, or delayed 99 facilities, affecting nearly 32.3 million square feet of ground space in 30 states. Last September, MWPVL International Inc. observed that Amazon closed 66 facilities that were cancelled, closed, or delayed, with a total area of 24.6 million square feet. Amazon spokesman Steve Kelly challenged MWPVL's data, saying, "Among the land or buildings mentioned by the company, there are some that we have never owned before." However, Kelly did not specify which facilities were incorrectly closed, cancelled, or delayed.
